Tepezza Litigation for Hearing Loss

The Defendant in the lawsuit is Horizon Therapeutics USA, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on research and development of medicine for people suffering from rare and rheumatic diseases.
What is being alleged in the lawsuit?
The Plaintiffs are accusing the Defendant of Failure to Warn, Negligent Failure to Warn, Design Defect, and Negligent Design Defect. As a result of the Defendants actions, the Plaintiffs have suffered from hearing loss and other auditory symptoms caused by taking Tepezza. As a result of Plaintiff’s injuries, they have endured substantial pain and suffering and incurred significant medical expenses and will continue to be financially challenged and emotionally harmed.

What is next?
The Multi-District Litigation (MDL) has been proceeding in Illinois since June 2023 and has been progressing throughout the year. As of November 2023, there are approximately 60 cases that are in the Tepezza MDL, and it is anticipated that more cases will be added in the upcoming months.
