One of the things we strive to accomplish at McDivitt Law Firm every day is to serve our clients, community, and team members with integrity. Webster’s Dictionary defines integrity as “a firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values;” or “the quality of being fair and honest.” I think we all should endeavor to adhere to a code of strong values, whatever those values may be. Values are an integral part of our society; without them we wouldn’t have much. They hold us together, and give us something to aspire to. As a lawyer and a professional, it is even more important that my strong values affect all aspects of my life and work. As such, I hold those I work with every day to those same ideals, and know that everyone at McDivitt Law Firm believes in fairness, honesty, and integrity.
It has been said that “the integrity of men is to be measured by their conduct, not by their professions.” At McDivitt Law Firm our actions and conduct demonstrate our integrity. Our integrity carries over into our actions within the community, and also in how we work with and represent our clients.
I hope that the values we share with our clients, community, and team members inspire others to act with integrity in everything they do. C.S. Lewis has said that “integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” Our Team here is always striving to do the right thing for our clients, regardless of the reward or recognition. Integrity is not about receiving something, but about serving others in a way that people will admire and follow suit.
As we all go about our day-to-day lives, I ask that we follow through on everything with a sense of integrity, with our values in place, and with no desire to want more in return. It is these things that we offer here at McDivitt Law Firm. We are here to represent our clients with integrity, and in doing so we are to hold those who have harmed our clients accountable for their actions.
