McDivitt Law Firm offering free cab rides home in Colorado Springs (including Manitou Springs, Widefield and Security) and Pueblo the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day
COLORADO SPRINGS, Co., February 27, 2014 — When people head out to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the weekend of March 16th, McDivitt Law Firm will be picking up the tab on cab rides for those don’t have a designated ride home. It’s all part of McDivitt Makes a Difference, an initiative aimed at increasing education and safety in our community. The Safe Ride Home program is through Yellow Cab in Colorado Springs and City Cab in Pueblo, and will be offered between 10:00pm on Saturday, March 15th, 2014 through 3:00am on March 16th, 2014.
McDivitt has been offering the program since 2007 and has given more than 18,000 safe rides home to residents of Southern Colorado. The firm will pick up the tab for any Yellow Cab or City Cab ride, as long as the passengers are headed home – the free ride is not available from a bar or a restaurant to another drinking establishment. (See below for all the guidelines).
It’s on McDivitt!
For a free ride home, call one of the following cab companies and tell them your ride home is on McDivitt Law Firm:
- Colorado Springs – Call Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs at (719) 777-7777.
- Pueblo & Pueblo West – Call City Cab of Pueblo at (719) 543-2525.
Guidelines for a Free Ride Home
The Safe Ride Home Free Cab Ride Home program is for adults who have been drinking or who don’t have another safe way home. Rides are provided to an individual’s residence—not to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on New Year’s Eve, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests. Drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares. Patrons are reminded to tip their drivers accordingly.
McDivitt Wants Everyone to Get Home Safely
The professionals at McDivitt Law Firm work with clients who have been injured or lost loved ones in alcohol-related crashes. To assist in the fight against drunk driving, the firm encourages individuals to make responsible choices by providing free cab rides on St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, and New Year’s Eve.
McDivitt Law Firm’s Safe Ride Home program continues to receive recognition from the community. In January 2012, U.S. Army Major General Joseph Anderson presented a certificate of recognition to the law firm. In September 2010, the firm was honored by the Pikes Peak DUI Task Force for its efforts to prevent drunk driving.
