Today reminds me not only of the sacrifices and great strides Martin Luther King, Jr. made for our country and citizens, but reminds me of the kind of person he was and the kind of person we should all strive to be. The differences MLK made to our country are immeasurable and beyond comparison. In some small way, I see some basic similarities in his goals as a civil rights advocate and the goals of McDivitt Law Firm.
Fundamentally, I believe that our team at McDivitt Law Firm has the same guiding principle as MLK—that is equality for all. While MLK was fighting for racial equality and beyond, we here at McDivitt Law Firm are fighting for equality for our clients to have access to the civil justice system. We strive to make everyone accountable for their actions when serving our clients. While our work may be on a smaller scale than MLK’s fight to ensure society was accountable to all people, regardless of race, gender, nationality, or creed, that does not lessen our fight to ensure our clients’ needs are met.
McDivitt Law Firm is here to fight for a better community for all. Today reminds me even more of our need to act with passion and integrity in all we do. MLK fought for each person next to him, and we are here to fight for each of our clients. I hope today reminds you to reflect on all MLK brought to the world and to remember his hopes and dreams for our country. Whatever your beliefs and goals, I hope you instill in yourself the same fight and spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr.
