Edward “Chip” Cord grew up in the southeastern part of the country and fell in love with Colorado during a ski trip when he was 11 years old. He attended college at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He has called Colorado home ever since. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Chip worked in the mountains for several years before going to law school at Drake University.
Chip worked in prosecution before becoming a personal injury attorney. He has enjoyed trial work throughout his career and feels strongly about his role in the civil arena. “I like the idea of helping those injured through negligence in the way I like ensuring that a criminal defendant is appropriately punished for a crime,” Chip said.
What drew Chip to McDivitt Law Firm is the approach it takes with clients. “Being a family run business helps keep a relatively large scale operation focused on keeping the clients’ needs first from reception all the way through to the attorneys,” he said.
