Get Home Safely This Halloween – It’s on McDivitt!

McDivitt Law Firm offering free cab rides home in Colorado Springs and Pueblo on Halloween night

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co., October 14, 2013 — In an effort to keep our streets safe this Halloween, McDivitt Law Firm is once again providing free cab rides to anyone who needs to get home safely after a night of celebration. The Safe Ride Home program is through Yellow Cab in Colorado Springs and City Cab in Pueblo, and will be offered between 10:00pm on October 31, 2013 through 3:00am on November 1, 2013.

McDivitt has been offering the program since 2007 and has given more than 8,000 safe rides home to residents of Southern Colorado. The firm will pick up the tab for any Yellow Cab or City Cab ride, as long as the passengers are headed home – the free ride is not available from a bar or a restaurant to another drinking establishment. (See below for all the guidelines).

It’s on McDivitt!

For a free ride home, call one of the following cab companies and tell them your ride home is on McDivitt Law Firm:

  • Colorado Springs

Call Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs at (719) 777-7777.

  • Pueblo & Pueblo West

Call City Cab of Pueblo at (719) 543-2525.

Guidelines for a Free Ride Home

The Safe Ride Home program is for adults who have been drinking or who don’t have a safe way home. Rides are provided to an individual’s residence—not to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on Halloween, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests. Patrons must remove masks or other facial coverings, and drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares. Patrons are reminded to tip their drivers accordingly.

McDivitt Wants Everyone to Get Home Safe

The professionals at McDivitt Law Firm work with clients who have been injured or lost loved ones in alcohol-related crashes. To assist in the fight against drunk driving, the firm encourages individuals to make responsible choices by providing free cab rides on St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, and New Year’s Eve.

McDivitt Law Firm’s Safe Ride Home program continues to receive recognition from the community. In January 2012, U.S. Army Major General Joseph Anderson presented a certificate of recognition to the law firm. In September 2010, the firm was honored by the Pikes Peak DUI Task Force for its efforts to prevent drunk driving.

McDivitt Makes A Difference

Whether McDivitt Law Firm pays for safe cab rides home, sponsors local education programs, or supports area charities, the law firm is committed to helping others. That’s why it created McDivitt Makes A Difference—a year‐round program that encompasses all of its community efforts. To learn more, visit www.McDivittMakesADifference.com.
